Step-by-Step Instructions
- Prepare the Controller Insert a compatible AA battery according to the polarity markings inside the controller. Check that the controller and applicators are clean and undamaged.
- Connect the Applicators Plug the desired applicator into either controller port. You may connect the 655 nm and 810 nm applicators together for simultaneous operation.
- Select the 810 nm Mode With the device switched off, press and hold the power button for approximately 5 seconds to toggle the 810 nm frequency between 10 Hz and 40 Hz. Four audible beeps confirm the change.
- Position the Nasal Applicator Gently position the applicator in either nostril, keeping the clip outside and the lens inside the nostril. Do not force the applicator.
- Begin Your Session Press the power button to start. The controller automatically operates for approximately 25 minutes.
- End and Clean The device automatically shuts off at the end of the session. Remove the applicators gently and clean them according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Choosing Your 810 nm Operating Mode
Alpha Mode | 10 Hz
Vielight positions the 10 Hz setting for relaxation-oriented routines and moments of calm.
Indicator: Slow-blinking green light.
Gamma Mode | 40 Hz
Vielight positions the 40 Hz setting for focus-oriented and mental-engagement routines.
Indicator: Fast-blinking green light.
The 10 Hz and 40 Hz settings apply only to the 810 nm LED applicator. The 655 nm laser applicator operates continuously during its session.
Recommended Usage Frequency
Consistency With Appropriate Session Spacing
Vielight indicates that MIP use may range from every other day to six days per week, depending on individual needs. Its product guidance also discusses morning and evening use.
The manufacturer user guide requires at least 6 hours between sessions.
