HERKIN PlasmaFusion

HERKIN PlasmaFusion – Professional Plasma and Dual-Frequency Ultrasound System

HERKIN PlasmaFusion is a professional multifunctional aesthetic system that combines contact-generated plasma, integrated ozone-removal filtration, and selectable 3 MHz and 10 MHz ultrasonic-wave technology.

Designed for professional skincare environments, PlasmaFusion allows trained providers to customize treatments according to the client’s skin condition, treatment area, and cosmetic goals.

The system includes a plasma handpiece for skin-contact plasma applications and an ultrasonic-wave handpiece with two selectable frequencies for superficial and comparatively deeper professional treatments.

Three Integrated Technologies

  • Contact Plasma Handpiece
Plasma is generated when the handpiece comes into contact with the skin, allowing controlled application across the selected treatment area.
  • Integrated Ozone-Removal Filter
The filtration component is designed to reabsorb ozone generated during plasma induction and collect decomposed ozone components within the filter.
  • Selectable 3 MHz and 10 MHz Ultrasound
The ultrasonic handpiece provides two selectable frequencies, allowing professionals to choose an appropriate frequency based on the treatment area and protocol objective.

Professional Treatment Benefits

  • Skin-Purifying Support
May be incorporated into professional protocols designed to improve the visible appearance of congested, oily, or blemish-prone skin.
  • Visible Skin Renewal
Supports cosmetic treatments focused on improving the appearance of skin smoothness, clarity, texture, and overall vitality.
  • Firmness and Elasticity Care
Complements professional services intended to support the visible appearance of skin firmness, resilience, and elasticity.
  • Uneven Tone and Dullness Care
May be used as part of cosmetic protocols addressing the appearance of uneven tone, dullness, and visible pigmentation concerns.
  • Professional Product-Infusion Support
Ultrasound may help distribute compatible professional serums, ampoules, gels, and treatment formulations across the skin when used with an appropriate coupling medium.
  • Customized Treatment Options
Allows the professional to select plasma, 3 MHz ultrasound, or 10 MHz ultrasound according to the client’s skin condition and treatment objective.

10 MHz High-Density Ultrasound

The 10 MHz setting is designed for more superficial treatment areas. The manufacturer describes an approximate treatment depth of 1.5–4 mm.

  • Concentrates ultrasonic energy within shallower skin layers.
  • Supports cosmetic skin-conditioning protocols.
  • May support the application of compatible professional products.
  • May be selected for superficial facial areas requiring controlled treatment.

3 MHz High-Density Ultrasound

The 3 MHz setting uses a lower ultrasound frequency and is designed to reach comparatively deeper treatment areas. The manufacturer describes an approximate treatment depth of up to 10 mm.

  • Designed to reach deeper than the 10 MHz frequency.
  • Supports professional warming and circulation-focused protocols.
  • May be incorporated into treatments focused on visible firmness and elasticity.
  • May be selected for larger facial or treatment areas according to professional assessment.

How to Use HERKINS PlasmaFusion

The following information provides a general professional workflow for using the HERKINS PlasmaFusion system.

Step 1: Complete the Client Consultation

Review the client’s health history, medications, allergies, recent procedures, current skincare routine, and primary treatment concerns.

Examine the treatment area and determine the most appropriate treatment modality based on the client’s skin condition and cosmetic goals.

Step 2: Prepare the Device

  1. Place the device on a stable and level treatment surface.
  2. Inspect the device, handpieces, cables, and connections.
  3. Confirm that the ozone-removal filter is properly installed before plasma treatment.
  4. Clean and disinfect all reusable treatment components.
  5. Connect the appropriate handpiece for the selected treatment.

Step 3: Prepare the Client’s Skin

  1. Remove makeup, sunscreen, oil, and surface impurities.
  2. Cleanse the treatment area thoroughly.
  3. Dry the skin unless the selected ultrasound protocol requires a treatment medium.
  4. Protect sensitive areas as appropriate for the selected service.

Step 4: Select the Treatment Modality

Select the appropriate treatment technology based on the client’s skin condition, treatment area, and cosmetic objective.

  • Plasma Mode:
Designed for professional skin-contact plasma protocols.

  • 10 MHz Ultrasound:
Designed for more superficial treatment areas and professional skincare-application protocols.

  • 3 MHz Ultrasound:
Designed for comparatively deeper treatment areas and professional warming-focused protocols.

Step 5: Plasma Handpiece Application

  1. Confirm that the plasma handpiece and ozone-removal filter are properly connected.
  2. Select the appropriate setting for the treatment area.
  3. Place the plasma handpiece in contact with the skin.
  4. Move the handpiece evenly and continuously across the selected treatment area.
  5. Do not hold the active handpiece stationary in one location.
  6. Observe the client’s comfort and visible skin response throughout the treatment.

Step 6: Ultrasound Handpiece Application

  1. Select either the 3 MHz or 10 MHz ultrasound frequency based on the treatment objective.
  2. Apply an appropriate ultrasound coupling gel or compatible professional treatment formulation.
  3. Position the ultrasound handpiece flat against the skin.
  4. Move the handpiece continuously using slow circular or gliding motions.
  5. Maintain even contact between the handpiece and the treatment area.
  6. Do not allow the ultrasound handpiece to remain stationary on the skin.

Step 7: Monitor the Treatment

Monitor the client throughout the service. Adjust the setting or discontinue treatment if the client experiences excessive discomfort, heat, irritation, or an unexpected skin response.

Step 8: Complete Post-Treatment Care

  1. Remove any remaining coupling gel or treatment product.
  2. Apply appropriate post-treatment skincare.
  3. Apply broad-spectrum sunscreen when sun exposure is expected.
  4. Provide client-specific aftercare recommendations.

Step 9: Clean and Store the Device

  1. Turn off the device after treatment.
  2. Disconnect the handpieces when appropriate.
  3. Clean and disinfect the handpieces after each client.
  4. Do not immerse the console, handpieces, cables, or electrical connections in water.
  5. Inspect the ozone-removal filter regularly.
  6. Store the device and accessories in a clean and dry environment.

Professional Safety Guidelines

  • Use the device only after appropriate product training.
  • Use manufacturer-approved handpieces, filters, accessories, and compatible treatment products.
  • Do not use directly over broken, actively infected, severely irritated, or compromised skin.
  • Do not leave an active plasma or ultrasound handpiece stationary on the skin.
  • Do not allow liquids to enter the console or electrical connections.
  • Clean and disinfect all reusable treatment surfaces between clients.
  • Inspect the handpieces, cables, and filter components before each treatment.
