Wavelengths & Effects
660nm Red Light
Targets the skin’s surface to stimulate collagen, brighten tone, reduce redness, and activate hair follicles.
850nm Near-Infrared Light
Penetrates deeper tissues to relieve muscle fatigue, increase blood flow, and reduce inflammation.
940nm Deep NIR Light
Reaches joints and connective tissue, supporting deep healing, neuroinflammation modulation, and mitochondrial activity in neurons.
Frequency Modes for Mind-Body Optimization
500Hz – Provides safe, soothing light for general use; ideal for skin rejuvenation, post-treatment care, and reducing mild inflammation without overstimulation. Especially effective for delicate areas or individuals sensitive to lower frequencies.
100Hz – Targets muscle relaxation and joint pain relief. Excellent for reducing muscle spasms, acute tension, and improving mobility following physical stress or exercise.
40Hz – Supports focus and cognitive performance; shown in studies to help regulate brainwave activity and enhance mental clarity.
10Hz – Induces nervous system balance and calmness, helping the body shift into parasympathetic (rest-and-digest) mode.
2.5Hz – Promotes deep sleep and circadian rhythm recovery, supporting melatonin release and whole-body restoration.

Is the PBMt device safe to use with medical implants, devices, and hardware?
Yes. The iLED series has been tested and found to be safe for use in the presence of medical devices such as pacemakers, deep brain stimulators, cochlear implants, hearing aids, voice synthesizers, wearable insulin pumps, chemotherapy and medication pumps, and various medical implants including those made of stainless steel, titanium, ceramic, plastic, or composite materials—as well as surgical screws, plates, pins, and rods.
What is the intended use of the iLED?
Benilight’s iLED series is designed to deliver therapeutic light energy in the red and near-infrared spectrum. It is intended for the temporary relief of muscle and joint pain, arthritis, muscle spasms, and stiffness. It also helps promote muscle relaxation, support wound healing, and temporarily increase local blood circulation.
Does the iLED Series utilize UV light?
No. The iLED series does not emit ultraviolet (UV) light.
How long does an iLED treatment session last?
Treatment sessions typically last 5, 15, or 30 minutes, depending on the target area and the recommended protocol.
Are there any special preparations required before using the iLED?
Yes. For optimal light penetration, the iLED should be used on skin that is free of clothing, makeup, or any product that may obstruct or reflect the light.
How close should the iLED be placed to the skin?
The iLED should be positioned as close to the skin as possible for maximum light absorption. When used on the face, avoid direct contact. Maintain a distance of 2 to 4 inches and use the provided holder unit to secure the LED pad in place.
Can I travel with the iLED?
Yes. The Benilight iLED series is lightweight, flexible, and portable—ideal for use at home, in the office, or at the gym. For international travel, use an appropriate travel adapter to match the local power source.
What should I do if I cannot use the iLED?
If you are experiencing a medical issue, please consult your healthcare provider. For technical issues, contact our support team at jessica@dermafirmusa.com.
Why do certain rows of diodes appear inactive?
The iLED series includes diodes that emit three therapeutic wavelengths: 660nm, 850nm, and 940nm. While the 660nm (red) light is visible to the human eye, the 850nm and 940nm wavelengths are in the near-infrared spectrum and are not visible, even though they are active and delivering therapeutic benefits.
Why is it recommended to remove makeup before using the iLED?
Makeup often contains minerals and reflective agents that can block or distort light transmission. For best results, cleanse the skin thoroughly to ensure the light can penetrate effectively.
Can the iLED be used daily?
Yes, the iLED can be used daily depending on your specific needs and protocol. For chronic conditions or ongoing wellness routines, daily use is typically safe and effective. However, always follow the recommended treatment guidelines.
Is the iLED safe for all skin types?
Yes, the iLED is safe for all skin types and tones. It uses non-invasive light therapy that does not damage the skin barrier or cause pigmentation.
Can I use skincare products with the iLED?
Yes, but apply them after the session. Using heavy creams or serums before treatment may interfere with light absorption. For best results, use the iLED on clean, dry skin, then follow with your usual skincare routine.
Is eye protection required during treatment?
The iLED device emits safe red and near-infrared light (660nm, 850nm, and 940nm) and does not emit UV light.
Do not stare directly into the LEDs while the device is powered on. When using the iLED near the face (approximately 2 to 4 inches away), simply close your eyes during the session. Eye protection is required for sessions lasting more than 5 minutes.
For prolonged sessions exceeding 60 minutes, wearing protective eyewear is recommended. Avoid placing the LEDs directly over the eyelids.
How do I clean the iLED device?
Unplug the device and wipe it down with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or submerge the device in water. Ensure it is completely dry before the next use.
Can children or pets be around while using the iLED?
The light is safe, but the device is not intended for use by children without adult supervision. Pets should not stare directly at the light source, especially if near-infrared or red light is visible.
Does the iLED help with acne or skin rejuvenation?
While the primary indications are for pain relief and circulation, red and near-infrared light therapy have been shown in clinical studies to support skin regeneration, reduce inflammation, and improve healing—potentially benefiting acne and aging skin.
What power supply does the iLED require?
The iLED series operates with standard AC power and is compatible with most household outlets. For international use, ensure you have the appropriate voltage converter or plug adapter.
