Accessible cosmetic products are on the rise as the beauty industry looks to become more inclusive. For individuals living with disabilities, such as Parkinson’s Disease, using traditional skin and makeup products can be extremely difficult. Everything from product packaging to the tools used for application can create extreme challenges for millions of consumers with disabilities.

After a tumor caused makeup artist Veronica Lorenz to lose feeling in her hands, she designed an easier way to apply winged eyeliner called the Vamp Stamp. This product allows users to stamp perfect wings on their eyes in seconds, cutting out the time and precision of a typical application. 

Kohl Kreatives has also released a line of brushes that are flexible in every direction with an advanced grip on the base. These brushes allow those with motor disabilities to have enhanced control of the tools while applying products. This is only the beginning of the cosmetic industry’s shift towards developing inclusive products for individuals with disabilities. 

Neuroscientists in California are testing ultrasounds as a new means to treat and diagnose brain disorders.
