As a co-founder of Tanoshi, Love works to bring fun, yet affordable, technology to school districts that have been seemingly “left behind” in the transition to the digital sphere during the pandemic. By developing easy to use, fun, and affordable technology Love is seeking to bridge the educational gaps that have formed in the United States for all school-aged children.

Love’s team (whose board consists of 50% women) has developed three new computer models since the pandemic hit, with specific features and benefits to create a better home-learning experience. As a Black, female entrepreneur in tech, Love has made it her mission to bring equal educational opportunities to underrepresented populations. In an interview with GTHQ Love explained how her company is making a difference by stating “Our mission is to provide an equitable digital education for all kids around the world. If we are going to meet the needs and exceed the expectations of a diverse population, then we need a team that can understand and relate to all people.”

Lisa Love is not only paving the way for future minority leaders in STEM, but is also opening up educational and career opportunities for children across the US by providing them with accessible educational technology.
